2015 VW Caddy no keys.

First we pick the door lock to gain entry and to read cuts from the lock.

Next we cut our new keys and test they work in the lock.

Then we connect our battery booster.

As we have no keys we have to remove the instrument cluster to force into service mode which then gives us the data we need to precode our new keys making them β€œdealer keys”.

Cluster back, transponders coded then remotes coded.

Once again this vehicle had been standing well over 12 months at a Vindis used car centre.

Another vehicle rescued to be prepped for sale.

2016 BMW 430d M-Sport Convertible.

Unfortunately previous owner had passed away. Family members were unable to locate the keys. Car has been standing for around 18 months.

A local car dealer whom we have worked with for years was entrusted to get the keys sorted and get the car in a saleable condition.

Upon arrival first we pick and decode the door lock to gain entry and to enable us to cut the emergency key blades.

Then we remove the ECU so we can pin out to read ISN data. We have to do this as no working keys.

We then remove the FEM module, we have to pre-process the module before we can read the Immo data.

Once this is done we can then code our 2 brand new proximity keys.

Re-fit both ECU and FEM to the car.

All done within 48hrs of the call.

Dealers would need to order keys from Germany and would charge more than my charge for just one key

Another motor rescued back on the road. πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŠπŸ˜‰

Most locksmiths carry one transponder machine. We carry six.

That's the difference between "sorry, we can't do your key" and "we'll have you back on the road in the next couple of hours." Every make handles transponder coding differently. A Ford key needs one kit. A newer VAG group key needs another. Some Japanese imports need something else entirely.

If your locksmith only owns one machine, they can only say yes to a slice of the market. The rest get sent to a main dealer, which usually means a tow, a wait of several days, and a bill that makes your eyes water.

We built the van around not having that conversation. Six machines, covering the vast majority of cars on the road around Huntingdon, whether you're parked at Tesco Extra, sat on your driveway in Hartford, or stuck in a lay-by off the A14.

Lost your key, snapped it, or just need a spare programmed? Drop us a message and we'll tell you straight away whether we've got the right kit for your vehicle. Nine times out of ten, we do. πŸ”‘

A garage in Corby recently told a customer her car would need to be towed to Wellingborough for a replacement key. Seven to ten days without it. She felt she had no choice.

She did.

She rang us instead. We came to her, cut and programmed the key on the spot, and she was driving again the same afternoon for a fraction of what the garage had quoted.

The pressure to decide quickly is real. A main dealer quotes Β£300+, tells you to book a tow, and suddenly you feel like the clock is against you. It isn't. A lost or broken key is stressful, but it doesn't have to be a rushed decision made on someone else's terms.

Before you commit, you're allowed to ask a few simple questions. Can I have that in writing? What's actually included? Can the key be cut and programmed here, today? Can I ring you back tomorrow?

If a garage won't answer those clearly, that's your answer. We're always happy to give you a straight quote and a straight timeline. Take your time. It's your key, your call. πŸ”‘

Stunning 2004 VW Golf R32 for spare remote key.

First we use are little orange vag pincode reader to extract the pincode.

Then we used are blue keyscan device to code keys to the vehicle. Once the new one has been cut.

The keyscan was the first ever key programming device we purchased back in 2013. Well over 12 years old and still comes in handy now and again.

Her main dealer quoted over Β£300 for a replacement key. She paid Β£140 and had it done on her driveway.

So why the gap? It's not the key itself. It's what goes into making it work with your car.

A modern key isn't just cut metal. It carries a transponder chip that has to be programmed to your specific vehicle, using your immobiliser's unique security pin, on kit that costs thousands.

Main dealers charge workshop labour and parts markups on top of all that. Our mobile workshop turns up at your door with the same programming equipment. Same key your car recognises. Different price, because you're not paying for the dealership overhead.

Swipe through for the three real factors behind what a replacement key actually costs. πŸ”‘

A straight deadbolt slides. A hook lock grabs.

That single difference is why we fit so many of them to Transits, Sprinters, Vivaros and Custom vans across Huntingdon. When a thief tries the classic peel-and-lever attack on your rear or side doors, a standard bolt can pop out of its housing as the door skin flexes. A hook lock won't. The curved bolt swings into a reinforced keep on the opposite door and physically clamps the two together, so pulling the doors apart pulls against solid steel, not thin air.

For anyone running multi-drop routes, that matters. You're in and out of the van forty, fifty times a day. One rushed moment, one unlocked door at the wrong drop, and your tools or parcels are gone in under thirty seconds. A hook lock deadlocks independently of the factory central locking, so even a relay attack or a compromised fob doesn't get anyone through those back doors.

We fit them at your home, yard or job site from the red mobile workshop, usually in a couple of hours per door. Insurance-friendly, tidy install, and we talk you through exactly how the mechanism engages before we leave.

If your van carries your livelihood, drop us a message. Happy to walk you through what suits your doors and your working day. πŸ”’

2022 Dacia Sandero Stepway for spare proximity key card at Renault / Dacia main dealer.

First we attached our battery maintainer so voltage doesn’t drop below 13.5v whilst programming.

We then must connect directly to the car’s UCH module to bypass the gateway.

We then read vehicle data and preprogram our high quality aftermarket key to make it a β€œdealer key”. We can then finally program the new key along with the original to the car.

Car was sold due to be collected within a couple of days. Dealer keys take a lot longer to arrive, hence using our service, saving lots of time and money.

Thanks again to richardsandersgroup for the continued business. πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Œ

15 years. That is a lot of Monday mornings where someone in Huntingdon lost their keys.

Since 2011, we have coded transponders in supermarket car parks, cut spare keys on driveways, and rescued more than a few tradespeople standing next to a locked van with a full day's work waiting inside.

The milestone is not really about us. It is about the fact that when something goes wrong with your vehicle in Huntingdon, the same van, the same number, and the same pair of hands are still here to answer.

We have been here before. And we will be here again. πŸ”‘
