This lawn was turf cut, seeded with 80% perennial dwarf rye and 20% creeping red fescue and top dressed only 4 weeks ago. Watered daily and a summer fertiliser applied last week. Looks fantastic.

You may have noticed recently that your lawn is turning yellow in places, this is more than likely be lawn rust.
Rust is a common lawn foliar disease caused by various airborne fungi commonly seen in late summer/early autumn, wet summer's or a heavy morning dew.
Rust is often seen in longer grass or where trees or shrubs over hang the lawn.
The lawn will recover.

13 ton of soil levelled overseeded and germination sheet put down. The germination sheet protects the seed, allowing moisture in and keeps the warmth in, this in turn will produce an earlier germination.

Germination sheet at work. The lawn was attacked by chafer grubs. Cut the old turf out, birds did their work 1 ton of top soil and overseed. The germination sheet lets moisture in and keeps the heat in, so earlier seed germination.

This is Dog sick fungus/slime mould, I'm seeing a lot of this as the conditions at present are perfect.

When the conditions are correct (similar to lawn fungi) they bloom and spore. This is the structure which becomes a slime mould.

Slime moulds do not harm grass. They grow up in and around the grass leaves and obtain their food by smothering bacteria, spores and tiny organic matter as they grow.

They may leave an unsightly black “splodge” on the grass. This can be easily removed with a rake or the mower

Chafer grubs found in two lawns today.

Chafer grubs can be a menace for any lawn owner. The grubs feed on the roots of grass which, can cause large amounts of damage to the lawn. This damage is usually signified by straw or grey coloured areas of grass which can be peeled back very easily, this is where the grass has become weak due to damaged roots. Another tell-tale sign is if birds, badgers or foxes are trying to rip up or peck at areas of turf looking for the protein-filled delicacy

With this warm, wet and humid weather its perfect conditions for fungal disease in the lawn.
Today I found fusarium/snow mould under damp leaves, it's very important to keep the leaves off the lawn at this time of year.
On my next lawn I came across a patch of red thread. Town and Country Lawns are able to treat both of these diseases with a fungicide.
