Full Property renovation underway this morning in Mansfield and it's the boiler an radiators first with a complete system upgrade. The old boiler in this home fed warm arm around the house via ducting instead of conventional radiators. Also a hot water cylinder heated by an immersion heater - the homeowners decided it had to change. Baxi combi boiler with 10 years parts and labour warranty and 5 new radiators around the property with a new central heating circuit all going into this job.

Poor heat output from the radiators? This system had heavy internal sludge restricting flow.

Today we’re using a ThoroughFlush high-velocity flushing machine to remove magnetite sludge and debris from the heating system. This restores circulation so radiators heat properly again and helps protect the boiler long-term.

Customer was experiencing intermittent hot water issues, so we carried out full diagnostics during the service.
After testing the system we ruled out the motorised valve and combustion sequence, which allowed us to narrow the issue down to the plate heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger had become restricted, preventing proper heat transfer and causing poor hot water performance.
New heat exchanger fitted and the system is now running exactly as it should.
This is why proper servicing and correct diagnostics matter — replacing parts without testing can waste time and money.
If your boiler isn't performing as it should, get it checked before it becomes a bigger problem.
