From one extreme to the other for the 7GS team 🔥💧

Hot day so we start with the fire and then to cool off move onto the water main

One day we’re fitting a custom-made burner into a stunning cast iron fireback, bringing warmth and craftsmanship together…

That’s a dramatic transformation. The original tiled fireplace had a very dated 1960s look with a small inefficient open fire, while the finished install feels much cleaner, brighter, and far more contemporary.

A few things that stand out in the upgrade:

* The limestone surround completely modernises the wall and gives the room a more premium focal point.
* Switching from an open solid-fuel fire to a high-efficiency remote-controlled gas fire is a major usability and heating upgrade.
* The brass and black insert adds warmth and contrast against the pale stone.

Another successful water main replacement by 7GS 💧🔧

Out with the old leaking lead pipe and in with a brand-new mains supply.

This job involved excavating alongside the property, safely exposing the old service, and installing a new blue MDPE water main complete with fresh connections and proper sand bedding for long-term protection.

The old lead main had deteriorated badly and was leaking underground — causing water loss and poor performance. The new installation now provides:
