Re post of our post 18 months ago - all of this is now happening!!

19/02/2020

The future is hydrogen and it will help all reach zero carbon emissions. Hydrogen fuel cells are now being developed and manufactured for vehicles, shipping, industrial processes and domestic boilers but to name a few uses.
Power companies are developing hydrogen plants from renewable energy sources and a few countries are already considering hydrogen infrastructure projects with a view to changing over from natural gas. Also the opportunity to use the existing gas infrastructure is being considered by some so just the need to change boilers or hydrogen adaption added.
Exciting future times ahead .

Just about time to put our heating systems on.
Could be a good time to get that yearly boiler service. Also make sure you have scar on monoxide alarm and that it's working.

So, heating on and a few money saving tips ,

Keep that thermostat at 21 degrees or 20 degrees if you can manage it.

Turn down. Radiator trv's in rooms that are not being used.
Turn off lights in rooms when not occupied.
Don't leave electrical appliances on standby, - that little red light costs you money and 3-4 appliances actually cost around £40 per year.
Don't fill kettles more than you need them.
If you are chilly think about an extra layer of clothing before you put the heating on.

All of these cost nothing to do !

If you are serious about your running costs and want to upgrade or insulate your building fabric or heating system and controls let us know for good advice. Cheers Alan
