5️⃣ Signs your PAT testing may be overdue
🏷️ 1. If there are No labels on your equipment that is a clear sign that the item has not been PAT tested. If there is a label, but the date is over a year ago, it may be time for a review.
📂 2. If you can't find your paperwork for your PAT Testing, then getting it done again would be a good plan, to ensure you have the appropriate compliance documents in place.
🔌 3. Lots of extension leads in use, messy cables, loads of plugs etc is often an indicator that nobody has been checking against overload, and is a sign PAT Testing may not have been done for some time.
🔥 4. If equipment looks damaged, has been taped up, or there are burning smells, these are an indicator a check is overdue.
🔎 5. If you are due to be inspected by an authority like CHAS, Ofsted or CQC, you will need to have up to date records in place, so now is a good time for PAT testing.
