A great start to the new month as our clients from Hadlow have had their planning application for a two storey side extension approved.

Due to a large Oak tree, we have had to jump through a few hoops to get this one over the line.

We are making a start on the Building Control Application so that work can start soon.

We've just submitted a planning application for one of our clients in Ashford.

Frustratingly, they have been asked to put in a planning application for a very minor alteration to their existing garage (they have moved the internal wall by about 2 metres).

The garage has a restriction on it that means any alterations require planning permission rather then falling under permitted developemnt.

We don't expect any issue in getting permission, and hopefully this will all be resolved in a couple of months.

We start the week after the bank holiday with a planning submission for one of our clients in Sundridge.

They are looking to build a large single storey rear extension in place of their existing conservatory. This will give them a new kitchen diner, and allow them to shuffle the existing internal layout around to gain an extra two bedrooms.

We're not anticipating any issues from the council, so all being well we will have an approval in two months time.

We end the week with news of a new job with an old client.

Back in 2014 we helped this client with a two storey rear extension. We have been asked to help them again with a two storey from addition this time.

While we were there a took a pic of the completed project from 2014.

We are looking forward to the same result with this new project.

Our clients form Allhallows have just had their Planning Application approved.

They are looking for a ground floor rear extension that will give them more living space and a Utility Room.

First stage out of the way and now on to the Building Control Application.

Today’s update is about planning approval for one of our clients in Tenterden.

Having recently moved into their new home, there’s plenty of work ahead. Alongside a two-storey side extension, they’re also planning to replace the highway fence and entrance gates. We’ve decided to keep the two projects separate for planning purposes.

Since the property is in a conservation area and they want to raise the fence height, planning permission was needed. We’re pleased to share that the first application for the fence and gates has been approved.

One down, one to go.

We’re kicking off the week with a Building Control Application just approved for one of our clients in Hawkinge.

They’re planning a ground floor side and rear extension to their home, which will create a larger kitchen and dining area, along with a new entrance porch.

With both Planning and Building Control now in place, work can begin whenever they’re ready.

We've just finished producing some drawings for a repeat client who recently took over an industrial unit in Maidstone.

They were after some floor plans to be able to mark up how they were going to reconfigure the layout and add service routes.

We are happy to take on any scale of projects, whether it be something as simple as a set of floor plans or something much more complex like a new dwelling.

We've just submitted an application for a client in Folkestone who is looking to convert their home into a HMO.

As this falls under permitted development, we're not expecting any issues, so hopefully we will have a positive outcome in two months time.

A good start to the week for one of our clients in Gillingham.

They are converting an existing terraced house into a 6-bed HMO. They brought us in to help clean up some building control issues, and we produced a full set of working drawings that the client and building control are happy with.

Work has now almost been completed, and building control will be signing off the project this week.
