As a fourth generation independent family business, Ward is a tight knit team and family means everything.
That’s why, Donald Ward is running the London Marathon for his Dad, Michael Ward, and everyone affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and aiming to raise £20,000 for the MND Association.
Here’s a message from Donald:
“This year, I’m proud (and a bit terrified!) to be running the 2026 TCS London Marathon in support of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association - a cause that means everything to me right now.
My amazing Dad is living with motor neurone disease, a brutal condition that slowly takes away movement, speech, and independence - but not dignity, love, or spirit. Watching him face this disease with courage and humour, even on the toughest days, has changed how I see everything.
I want to turn that experience into action, and this is my way of doing it.
Every pound donated will:
🧑🧑🧒🧒 Help families receive the support they need
💷 Fund specialist care and mobility equipment
🛟 Drive life-saving MND research forward
Your donation, however big or small, makes a real impact. And for me personally, it’s a huge show of support for my family and this journey.”
If you’ve read this far - thank you. If you are able to donate - thank you even more. And if you can’t donate but can share the page, cheer Donald on, or just send good thoughts, that means the world too 🙏.
