Capstone Construction is proud to showcase the successful completion of refurbishment and upgrade works at the Kylesku Hotel, delivered by our Small Works team to help support the hotel’s continued growth and increasing demand for accommodation within the area.

The project involved the reconfiguration of existing staff accommodation to create four new en-suite guest bedrooms, alongside a full internal refurbishment programme throughout the property. Works completed by our team included the installation of new internal doors and staircase, full decoration works, floor coverings and tiling, as well as structural alterations and upgrades to the building’s fire detection and smoke ventilation systems.

External improvement works were also carried out as part of the development, including upgrades to the access ramp, cladding and fascia finishes, helping enhance both the appearance and functionality of the property.

Projects like this highlight Capstone Construction’s ability to successfully deliver refurbishment and reconfiguration works within live hospitality environments, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, programme delivery and attention to detail.

Capstone is proud to showcase the recent progress being made at Global’s new Inverness Campus headquarters, with the building now moving closer to becoming wind and watertight.

Following the completion of the initial structural and civil works, attention has now turned to the final stages of the curtain walling and facade installation. As the external elevations near completion, the building’s finished appearance is beginning to come together, marking another important step forward in the delivery of the 2,000 square metre headquarters.

Inside, the future working environment is also starting to take shape. Internal metal-framed partitions are progressing throughout the building, helping to form the open-plan offices, individual offices, meeting rooms, circulation areas, social spaces, gym and full-height open atrium that will support collaboration across the wider Global portfolio.

Mechanical and electrical works are also underway, with high-level containment and ducting being installed to support the building’s power, lighting, fire detection, data, security and HVAC systems. These works are progressing ahead of the installation of the main plant and equipment within the concealed roof deck.

As principal contractor, Capstone is proud to be delivering this key project for Global, supporting the creation of a modern new headquarters based in the heart of the highlands.

We’re proud to have supported the installation of a defibrillator at Little Angels Nursery in Dingwall, helping provide round-the-clock access to potentially life-saving equipment for the local community.

Located outside the nursery on Druimchat View, the defibrillator, a Mindray C1A housed in an external heated cabinet from London Hearts, has been positioned to ensure easy access for nursery staff, parents, neighbouring businesses and the general public in the event of an emergency. It is available for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The project was led by Little Angels Nursery, with fundraising support from families and the wider community. Capstone was pleased to contribute towards the final fundraising total and help bring the defibrillator to the area.

Rhona Donnelly, Managing Director at Capstone Construction, said: “Little Angels Nursery and everyone involved have worked incredibly hard to raise funds for this defibrillator. Capstone is committed to supporting local communities and safety initiatives across the Highlands, so we were proud to partner with the nursery to help bring it to the area.”

The installation increases the number of publicly accessible AED points in Dingwall and will help improve access to emergency equipment for the wider community.

We were delighted to welcome a group of students from UHI Inverness’s CECA Scotland Academy (NPA Construction Operations) course to our new Global HQ site at Inverness Campus.

The visit gave students the opportunity to see a live construction project up close and gain a better understanding of the different stages involved in delivering a development of this scale. As part of their visit, our Project Manager, Brian Anderson, gave the group a tour of the site and talked them through the construction process, offering insight into the work involved in taking a project from early enabling works through to key structural milestones.

The CECA Scotland Academy course is designed to help address the industry’s skills gap by providing students with practical, hands-on experience and valuable links to live construction environments. It was great to support this by giving students the opportunity to see first-hand how a live site operates and learn more about the range of skills involved in delivering a project of this scale.

As principal contractor on the Global HQ development, Capstone is proud to support initiatives that connect education with industry and give students vital exposure to live project environments, creating opportunities for young people to engage with real projects, real people and real career pathways.

Construction is progressing rapidly at Global’s new Inverness Campus headquarters, and the building is now visibly taking shape on site. Appointed as principal contractor for our parent company’s new office, Capstone Construction has been working to an accelerated programme to bring this 2,000 square metre headquarters to life.

The structural steel frame is now fully in place, with metal decking installed to provide safe access across the first and second floors. This milestone allows our team to move forward with the upper floor decks and the ground floor slab, progressing steadily across the entire building footprint.

Ahead of the façade installation, which will give the building its final appearance, finalisation of the design for the structural framing systems is well underway, providing the support for the specialist facades systems. Civil works are progressing steadily, with core infrastructure, including drainage, ducting and significant surface water attenuation cells now complete. Focus turns to completion of the initial Civils works with finalisation of incoming utilities and early formation of the car park, to support site logistics.

Brian Anderson, Project Manager, Capstone Construction, commented: “This project is a real collaboration, with teams from across the Global portfolio working together. Our role as principal contractor, supported by the award-winning design team at Bracewell, Arthian’s advice on acoustics, noise and vibration, and lifting support from Global Port Services, allows us to keep the project on track.”

Supporting Global’s growth plans, the new headquarters will provide space for the business to expand both organically and through future acquisitions. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2026, with Global’s corporate services and teams from across the wider Global portfolio set to move into the new office.
