☀️🏡 Another New Build complete! 🏡☀️
- The sun has finallyyy arrived and stayed out long enough for me to get some snaps of the latest new build we’ve finished!☀️
- This one we’ve been a part of from start to finish, doing what we do and getting the trades in for the bits we don’t!🤟🏼
- It’s been another absolute pleasure of a build to be part of and one of mega self satisfaction now it’s finished🤩 As always I’m keen to hear what you think, so any comments and likes are appreciated more than you know🤟🏼

⚠️ Bank Holiday boast post! ⚠️
- This house we built for my business partner Lee, I say we, I just did the brickwork and gave a hand along the way, he did the rest👏🏼 Hate to be that guy, but this is one we’re mega proud of!😮‍💨
- This is the first new build project I was involved in so it’s a special one for me and one I’ll always remember🤝🏼 The photos have been in my camera roll for a while, I’m just useless and haven’t got round to posting them😅

🧨 Using the new system for RSJ installs 🧨
- We removed an old set of French doors and installed a new lintel and set of 3 pane bifolds this week using the new system
- We found it to be a far superior way of undergoing these types of knock throughs/lintel installs as, on small openings like this, it negates the need for as many props to used, opening up a much safer and easier work area.
- It was quick and easy to install and as you can see from the photos, left no cracking in the brickwork and the perp joints they’re installed in can simply be pointed up leaving no evidence they were ever there🤟🏼
- Mega product overall and highly recommended to anyone looking to take on these sorts of jobs🙋🏼‍♂️

A very bitter sweet moment for me, my first self build and first home is now on the market.
Absolutely gutted to be selling, but it’s a necessary evil to be able to progress onto other projects.

Any shares a greatly appreciated!🤟🏼

The boat race behind the trowel👷🏼‍♂️
- (One of them anyway😅) I’ve been told by the local social media gurus I need to ‘show my face’ and ‘engage’ more, so, here it is!😅
- For those of you that don’t know, my names David and I started DG Construction back in 2017. Since then, we’ve gone from small garden walls, to building houses and taking on complete projects from start to finish🏡
- You’ll also see Lee in my stories, he’s the business partner, ground-worker and comedian! Together, we like to think we make a good team and work to make whatever projects to guys dream of, become reality.

🏠 Current extension nearing completion! 🏠
- You may have seen a sneak peak of one of our current jobs on my story last week, well here she is in all her glory!🤩
- Monster 2 story extension with intricate brickwork details to match the existing brickwork on the house. As you can see the ground floor extension allows for a massive open plan kitchen diner and with a few extra RSJ installations, opens up to the rest of the house to complete that open plan feel!🫡
- We’ve been working to a deadline in early November when the bespoke kitchen is due to be fitted. Can’t wait to show you the finished article🥇
- Properly, properly chuffed about how this job is coming along! One for the portfolio and memory books for sure!🙏🏼

- Just a quick post to say thank you to all our customers in 2022!🙌🏼 It’s been our most successful year so far completing some big builds🤟🏼
- We’re currently booked well into 2023 with some exciting projects in the pipe line!🙌🏼

🆙 Two story extension 🆙

- We started this one back in the summer when Lee dug the footings. The customer poured the footings and we returned to do the rest.. Brickwork to DPC, pouring of the pad up with the brick and blockwork🙌🏼
- We installed the first ridge beam after punching a hole in the existing gable and building a pad stone for it to sit on. We repeated that on the other two gables and joined the two steels together forming a T shape which the roof timbers are then spread over.
- It was an absolute pleasure this one, getting egg and bacon every morning! 🥓😍 Any tradey will tell you this doesn’t happen very often!😂
We will be back soon to finish the garden room brickwork and porch once the scaffold is down ✅

🏡 Hintlesham build update 🏡
- We were back at Hintlesham today at the new build we finished a few months ago to fill putlog holes from the scaffold and a few other snaggy bits. It’s all transformed now as the windows are in and the roofs on and tiled. Always love seeing projects you’ve been part of nearing completion🙌🏼🔥
- We’re back here in the new year to build a big 13” retaining wall, steps and patio. Keep your eyes pealed for this one..👀🔥
- Last day tomorrow then we’re off for 2 weeks, not sure how I feel being away from the trowel for that long😪😂

🏰 Basement build 🏰

- This is the project that’s been taking up most of our time lately and one we’re chuffed to bits to have been a part of!🙌🏼
- The pictures don’t really do this job justice.. We ended up digging out the best part of 8-900 tonne of fill. After a lot of headaches we got the pad foundation in the bottom meshed and poured.
- The brickies for this job then came in and used hollow step up blocks for the walls which where then filled with concrete in stages until it was up to height.
- We then tanked the entire outside to prevent damp and fitted a protective membrane which enabled us to backfill.
- Block and beam is now fitted hiding the basement below. The timber frame building then sits on this which will be cladded with brick later next year.
- As I’ve said pictures don’t really do it just this job justice for all the headaches and head scratching, but a job we’re proud to say we were a part of and one to add to the CV for sure😜
- Must say, we were subbing for another builder on this one and we came in to sort all groundworks, digout, drainage and block and beam installation.

🔥Chippy weekend🔥
- Massive weekend of progress this weekend. I think any chippies looking at this would agree, a roof like that is a task to get done in two days, but pulled out the all the stops and got it done for me!🙌🏼
- Chuffed to bits, all ready for the roofer to felt and batten🏡
