We’ve survived the summer holidays 💚

My little nursery helper has been with me for rather a lot of plant watering, potting, deliveries and general nursery chaos over the last few weeks.

I’d say 70% helpful, 30% hindrance… although he might disagree 😂

Back to school soon and I think we’re both ready for it! 💚

Salvias really have earned their place in the garden this summer 💚

They’ve kept flowering through the heat and drought, and they’ll continue putting on a show well into autumn.

Echium ‘Pink Fountain’ looking rather spectacular 💗

A limited number of these beauties have just been added to our website. A real statement plant, with towering spires of soft pink flowers that the pollinators absolutely love.

So pleased to check in on our holiday cottage plantings and find them thriving 💚

All the plants were grown by us at our Isle of Wight nursery, which makes it even lovelier to see them settling in and flowering away.

Gaura ‘The Bride’ clearly hasn’t got the drought memo 🤍

Still flowering away despite this incredibly dry summer, with masses of delicate white flowers dancing above the foliage.

Gaura is such a brilliant plant for a sunny, dry border, bringing months of flowers and plenty of movement without needing lots of attention.

We currently have four different Gaura cultivars available on our website, all grown by us here on the Isle of Wight

Rudbeckia seems to be the plant of the week 💛

Lots of these sunny flowers have headed off to new gardens over the last few days. Perhaps a little sign that we’re moving towards late summer…

I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet, although I wouldn’t say no to a good few days of rain! 🌧️💚

I thought there was something wrong with this bee when I first spotted it.

Turns out it had simply been having the best day ever, collecting so much pollen it looked completely dusted from head to toe. Every grain helps pollinate the next flower. 🌸🐝💛
