Why do we do site clearance? 🌱
Site clearance isn’t always about making way for a new building or development.
Sometimes, clearing and managing a site is the first step in protecting what’s already there and creating the right conditions for something new to thrive.
From infrastructure and housing projects to habitat creation and land management, vegetation and existing habitats may need to be carefully managed to improve a site, protect important species or create a more suitable environment for others.
It can mean removing invasive or unsuitable vegetation, opening up areas that have become overgrown, improving light and space, or creating the conditions needed for new habitats to establish.
And that’s where habitat creation comes in.
At Practicality Brown, our Practicality Brown - Habitats work looks at how we can add to what’s already there, creating new habitats and enhancing existing environments alongside development and land management.
So while site clearance can mean taking something away, it can also be about making space for something better to grow.
