EXPERIENCED HEATING ENGINEER VACANCY

Due to continued growth we are looking to add another Heating & Service Engineer to assist with our customer base throughout The Scottish Borders, North Northumberland and East Lothian.

About you:
Qualified to at least SVQ 3 (or equivalent) in plumbing & unvented hot water
Experience required with installations, servicing & maintenance of Biomass, Oil, Heat Pumps, Gas & Stoves
Be customer friendly
Ability to work to high-standards, operating both alone and as part of a team
GAS Safe, OFTEC, HEATAS accreditations would be advantageous

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: TBC dependant on experience
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 07.30 - 16.30 on-site
Locations - mainly Scottish Borders and surrounding areas

One fully trained team ✅

The whole team at Border Eco Systems has completed our 1-Day First Aid at Work course — a practical, hands-on session that’s strengthened our safety standards across the board.

Huge thanks to Borders Plant & Machinery Services ltd for the excellent training with Iain Riddle, Jed Thistle for the great facilities, and Abbey Bridge Coffee House next door for looking after us at lunchtime 🙌

Proud of the team for getting stuck in and always putting safety first.

🚚🟢 Just another day on deliveries… 🟢🚚

Danny was out delivering Woodlets pellets to a customer who was down to her very last bag — cutting it fine! 😅

Unfortunately, while driving past a pheasant shoot, one of the pheasants quite literally fell out of the sky and smashed into the windscreen 🦅💥
Result: cracked windscreen and an unexpected return to base.

The good news?
✔️ Only the pheasant was hurt (and to be clear… it had already been shot before impact)
✔️ Customer was extremely understanding 🙌
✔️ A bit of van-swapping later and the pellets were still delivered 🪵🔥
All’s well that ends well — apart from the windscreen! 😄
