❤️Tributes were paid to Stoke-on-Trent war hero John Baskeyfield at Port Vale yesterday where a wreath was laid on the pitch. Today and there will be a service by the Burslem soldier's Festival Park statue. The heroic soldier, who had worked as a butcher before joining the army, was just 21 when he died at the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944.
