This lump of timber has a 200 year story behind it 🌳
It was originally saved from being logged up by a farmer. Instead, we milled it on site into liftable sections and took it away to be properly milled and stacked to dry.
That’s where Nic stepped in. Nic handled the milling side of it, turning a huge, awkward stem into usable, character filled boards ready for their next chapter.
Years later, new owners moved into the same property and wanted timber for a new kitchen table 🪵
The same tree that had stood beside the house for over two centuries made its way back home.
Huge respect to Chris, the owner, who put in the real graft on the final piece. Days of sanding, filling, sanding again and carefully polishing to get it just right. We were part of the early stages of the journey, but the finished table is down to his patience and hard work.
Now that tree sits in the dining room, with a family eating off it every day!
