🥶 The reality of working in the stonework trade through a UK winter! 🥶

Throwback to winter 2024, when the snow had other ideas! ❄️😂

Working outdoors in the British weather certainly keeps you on your toes. Some days it’s rain, some days it’s freezing, and occasionally you turn up to a job site looking like this! 🧱☃️

It’s all part of the job, but let’s just say we’re hoping for a slightly milder winter this time around! 🤞😂

Fresh pointing bringing out the character of the original stonework, with a clean finish that complements the existing stone beautifully.

Another porcelain patio coming together near Crossthwaite in the South Lakes! 👌

Today was all about the finishing touches, using Flowpoint by to finish off this porcelain paving with clean, crisp joints. The right products and a bit of attention to detail make all the difference to the finished job!

We’ve just hit 500 followers, and one of our recent time-lapse videos showing a drystone wall repair has reached 10,000 plays! 🤯

A retaining wall built to belong. 🪨

Local blue rag stone, plenty of reclaimed stone from the dig-out, and finished with slate flagstone capping.

A garage transformation from 2024! 🪨

Stone facing on a blockwork garage, with some seriously tight access!

The stone was supplied locally by Penningtons Quarry Ltd, creating a traditional finish to this garage.

How long do you reckon it took me to face the blockwork? 🤔

🧱 DRY STONE WALL REPAIR | CUMBRIA
Change of plan today…
A wet Friday morning repairing a damaged dry stone wall after a vehicle tried to squeeze through a gap that was a little too tight! 😂

Carefully rebuilding the damaged corner, matching the existing stonework and restoring the wall to its original character.
