Sometimes it’s the smaller projects that make the biggest difference.

This front garden was ready for a refresh, so we set about creating a stylish raised planter that would bring structure, character, and year-round interest to the entrance of the property.

🔨 Day One
• Removed the existing slate chippings and old weed-control membrane
• Prepared the area and installed a new high-quality membrane to ensure a clean, long-lasting finish

🌿 Day Two
• Constructed and installed a bespoke raised planter using treated timber sleepers supplied by Hanafin M D & Sons Ltd
• Applied end-grain seal to all cuts for maximum protection and longevity
• Assembled using treated exterior-grade fixings
• Finished with fresh soil and decorative slate chippings to complete the transformation

The finished result is a clean, elegant feature that enhances the property’s kerb appeal while providing the perfect space for planting and seasonal colour.

📍 Grange-over-Sands

Not every patio is built to last forever — sometimes it just needs a little expert attention.

This garden had several sunken paving slabs and uneven edges, making the space difficult to use and taking away from its appearance. We stepped in to bring it back to life.

✅ Re-levelled and rectified all sunken paving
✅ Installed a new main pathway for easy access to and from the summer house
✅ Finished the project with beautiful Raj Green 100x100 set edging for a clean, crisp finish

The result? A safer, more practical outdoor space that looks fantastic and is ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

Scrolling through thousands of photos recently, I came across this stunning garden transformation from Chalk Grove, completed almost exactly one year ago.

This was one of those projects where the clients had a clear vision from day one, and it was a pleasure bringing it to life.

Using Kandla Grey natural stone paving, supplied by R R Stone Ltd,detailed borders, and carefully crafted pathways, we created a garden that’s as practical as it is beautiful. A year on, it’s still looking fantastic.

Projects like this remind me how fortunate I am to have learned my trade here in Kendal and to now help local homeowners create outdoor spaces they can enjoy for years to come. 🙏

Completed a few weeks ago ✅

Vicarage Drive, Kendal. ✅

Just completed in time as we start a really good job tomorrow also in Kendal.

The clients front garden was overrun by weeds due to no membrane when it was last installed.

Only one option, rip it out and start again, the clients basically let us have free roam with what we do with their garden.
