🚐💚 SLT goes out and about in Hallgarth in new SLH 100% Electric Vans!

This week, members of South Lakes Housing’s Senior Leadership Team visited the Hallgarth Estate in Kendal, meeting residents face-to-face and hearing directly about what matters most to them. As part of the visit, the team travelled in SLH’s new electric vans, supporting our commitment to reducing our environmental impact while continuing to deliver services across our communities. 😊

These visits are a great opportunity to listen, learn and strengthen relationships with residents, ensuring their voices help shape the services we provide.

🚧 Free Construction Skills Training for South Lakes Housing Residents 🚧 Starting September 7th

We're pleased to share that eligible South Lakes Housing residents can access free training opportunities through a partnership between Kendal College, CIDORI and Auxicia.

The partnership has secured funding to help people build skills, boost confidence and take positive steps towards employment, apprenticeships or further education.

The next Construction Skills Level 1 course starts on 7 September 2026 and includes:

✅ Construction Skills Level 1 course
✅ Online tutor-led delivery
✅ Includes a funded CSCS Green Card
✅ Support into employment

Open to residents aged 19+ who are unemployed, on benefits or on a low income.
