We’ve recently had our office floor updated so thought we would share the installation process!
A quality LVT floor starts long before the first plank is laid. Here’s a look at the 4 key stages we follow to get the perfect finish:
1️⃣ Uplift
We remove the existing flooring and adhesive, exposing the subfloor so it can be properly assessed and prepared.
2️⃣ DPM
Where required, a Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) is applied to help control residual moisture within the subfloor and protect the finished flooring.
3️⃣ Screed
A suitable smoothing/levelling compound is applied to create a smooth, flat and sound surface. This stage is crucial for achieving a professional finish and preventing imperfections from showing through the LVT.
4️⃣ Installation
Once the subfloor is fully prepared, the LVT is carefully installed, with attention to layout, cuts, joints and detailing to achieve a clean, precise finish. 🔥
