Updated photos from a recent revisit now the main house project is progressing 👌

We completed the roofing works previously and popped back to have a look now the scaffold’s come down.

The cladding is on, everything’s opening up properly now, and after the rain’s washed all the dust off… doesn’t it look unreal ☔️✨

Always nice seeing the finished roof in its proper setting once the other trades have moved on and the project starts coming together.

Loads of detail went into this one and it’s good to see it all tying in exactly how it should.

It’s just what we do 🔥

✅ Full rip up of existing failed roof system
✅ Existing deck removed and disposed of correctly
✅ New boards fitted throughout to create a solid, fresh substrate
✅ High-performance underlay torch applied
✅ Second cap sheet layer torched on for a fully sealed waterproof finish
✅ All laps, upstands and details completed properly with no shortcuts

Method matters. A roof is only as good as what’s underneath it — no patching over tired materials, no cutting corners. Full strip, re-board and install of a brand new two-layer torch-on system built to last 👌🔥

Another one wrapped up and left weather tight and looking sharp.

✅ Smash the broken tile at the top until there’s naff all left
✅ Saw through the nail so it shears clean off
✅ Get the saw up behind the tiles above and give them a slight turn for clearance
✅ Slip the new tiles in and hook them back onto the nibs
✅ Stand back and admire it

✅ 70m² flat roof completed, knocking these out the park lately!! 🏏

Another quality project wrapped up — this time a huge 70m² flat roof completed using a high-performance two layer system and delivered in just 2.5 days. Battling the weather throughout but staying on schedule was key to making sure this extension remained fully protected from the elements and dry throughout the build process.

✅ Existing tiling carefully reinstated
✅ Two layer waterproofing system installed
✅ Lead flashing details completed
✅ Every detail finished to the standard we expect

The lead flashing works weren’t included within the original scope, but where we’re in a position to help, we do. We don’t believe in leaving roofs vulnerable or unweathered when a proper finish is achievable — attention to detail is what separates a good roof from a great one.

Big shout out to JHL Contracts for keeping the build moving and delivering the project on time and to the standard we know and love — having a well-run site allows us to achieve the level of finish we pride ourselves on.

Quality materials, proper detailing, and getting it done right first time 👌
