Wow......£75,000 fine for cheese shop with mice.
It definitely pays to do something if you suspect mice, or rats, or any pest issues. It would have been much much cheaper to get a professional in and deal with this.

I dealt with a Median Wasp nest in Swanley today. These are quite a large species of wasp, often nesting in bushes and trees.
They get very upset if disturbed. Fine if away from people, but in the wrong place they can be quite the hazard.

Did you know that sometimes there are albino squirrels?
Kent and SE London have grey squirrels, but no reds in this area.
Very occasionally you may see a white one. But they're super rare.

An extremely rare albino squirrel has been spotted in a garden in Petts Wood.

Where are the reds???
The red squirrel is native to this country. But the grey squirrel was introduced here from the USA in the late 1800s. Since then, the grey has taken over the reds' habitat and caused a large decline in their numbers.
Here, the Wildlife Trusts tell you where the red squirrel can still be found.
By the way, it's the greys that cause problems getting into house lofts around here in Kent, not the reds.
