This is what the electrical world has become. Elderly man just lost his wife into a care home, lives on his own. Had an electrical issue and an electrician said he needed a new fuse board becase his was "out of date" and needed to be metal. The guy screwed in identical new fuse board under the original, and that was is it. All the cables are still connected to the original and he was none the wiser and a thousand pound down. People need shooting.

I am currently looking for driver/laborer/student who has a driving licence and wishes to work as a private domestic electrician or simply drive for the company.
I am a sole trader, friendly generous person and work alone generally.
I currently have had a medical setback and unable to drive.
Money can be discussed and flexible hours depending on jobs at the time. Ideally live closed to Walderslade and can leave their vehicle at the office at the start of the day.

Farm House Rewire.
This is the oldest wiring system I have ever seen, the whole house wired in black Vulcanised India Rubber (VIR) or Tough Rubber Sheathed (TRS) cable which the insulation crumpled when touched. Totally outlawed and a huge fire risk. Instant fail on any EICR inspection. Fuse boxes so historic I have never seen them in a domestic property. All been ripped out. Lath and plaster walls and ceilings all removed ready for a new customized layout and electrical system.

Fault Finding. Those intermittent faults!
All these junctions boxes all for a badly wired bathroom. 16 cables in 3 old school junction boxes. Random MCB tripping every few hours or every other day. After 3 hours of testing I found a damaged cable sending power to earth. Old fuse board with no RCD protection so zero earth fault detection. Replaced cable and junction boxes, problem solved. New fuse box to go in.

Hotel Fuse Board Upgrades.
After an interesting hotel EICR this place had several electric showers powered from 1950's wired fuses and not been updated since. Not the best. Budget didn't allow for a rewire so 5 new RCBO CU's were installed. Much better.

Hot tub installation.
Client had a new hot tube installed. We installed a new fuse board, 6mm cable to a rotary isolator and cable channelled under the patio to power the hot tub. All neat and tidy and tested.
