Thank You 🙏 ❤️
Firstly to all of you guys, this summer will mark 6 years of Barista Bus at Twywell Hills and Dales. I wouldn’t have reached it without your continued support 🙌🏻, so thank you.
Secondly to Luke, The Ranger. He’s been working on site for just over 6 months and on his 3 mornings a week has made so many improvements, from cutting back paths that were lost to the brambles, to edging the parking bays and tidying forgotten areas, installing the boot brush, he really has made a difference.
It’s no secret that the long wet winters make the site hard to navigate, not only to you as walkers, but to those managing the site and to myself trying to continue to stay open for coffee through the dark and muddy days.
The new base that I’m now able to park on came about after a quick idea on a wet and miserable day, a passing conversation with the Ranger, Luke, a “what if, I wish”conversation. I arrived back the next week to a beautiful Hazel woven fence, the next week the original fencing has been moved out, last week a landscaper had been roped in with a digger, hence my plea for some hardcore. That’s it, that’s how we have got to where we are……
Through people, customers, friends of friends generosity, giving time and skill, equipment and materials.
THANK YOU……
Thirdly to those people, customers, friends of friends……..
💚PARKER LANDSCAPES - volunteering his time and skill.
💚TRAVIS PERKINS - “Mates rates” Digger Hire.
💚PHOENIX SURFACING - 40 tonne of surface.
💚WARREN - volunteering on site and sharing his passion for all things creative.
💚LAURIE - for bringing a massive machine to move the 40t of base, saving us weeks probably of raking and shovelling.
💚LUKE, THE RANGER - who just got on and got things done.
All of the above has happened on a shoe string, at no cost to the site purely by the generous help of the community that we have created at Twywell Hills and Dales ❤️
If you’ve got this far, then well done 👏. A long post but one I wanted to share.
We’ve still a lot to do to soften up the area (wild flowers, wood features) and finish what we’ve started so if you’d like to continue to support keep an eye out for my next begging post 😉 🙌🏻.
