Hi everyone, just a little update from me…
I’m now at week nine of recovery following my spinal surgery. Things are going okay overall, but I’m still dealing with a few ongoing issues, so it’s very much a case of taking things steady and not rushing the healing process.
I’ve now got my reverse shoulder replacement scheduled for 8th July, so that’s the next big step ahead. As many of you will understand, recovery from that will take time too, and I’m expecting that to see me through to the end of the year.
Because of all this, I’m still hopeful of starting up my handyman service, but being realistic, it’s likely now going to be sometime in 2027—all depending on how well both recoveries go and how successful the spinal surgery proves to be in the long run.
To all my old and new customers, thank you again for your continued support, patience, and kind messages—it really does mean a lot and keeps me going through all of this.
I’ll keep you all updated once the shoulder surgery has been completed. For now, it’s one step at a time and staying positive. 🙏

Hi everyone, just a little update from me…
On Monday I underwent my spinal surgery for the bulging / herniated disc that had been trapping a nerve and causing the problems with my leg. It’s a big step forward, but as you can imagine, recovery is now the main focus and it’s going to take some time.
Because of this, I’ll still be out of action for the foreseeable future. My reverse shoulder replacement will now take place once I’ve fully recovered from this spinal surgery, so there’s still a journey ahead before I’m anywhere near getting back to full strength.
To all my old and new customers — thank you so much for your continued support, patience, and kind messages. It genuinely keeps me going. Right now my job is to heal properly and not rush anything.
If and when I do manage to get back on the tools, I promise you’ll all be the first to know. 🔧
For now, it’s one step at a time, staying positive, and focusing on recovery. Thank you all for sticking with me — it truly means the world. 🙏 Ian.

Just a quick message to wish all my old and new customers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 🎄
Thank you so much for all the support, patience, and kind words over the past year — it really has meant more than you’ll ever know. While I’m taking some time out to focus on my health and get through the surgeries ahead, I’m staying positive and looking forward to the day I can once again get the tools back out and do what I love.
Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas, a healthy and happy New Year, and here’s hoping 2026 brings better days, recovery, and a fresh start. 🙏

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a little life update with all my old and new customers, friends, and supporters…
Yesterday I had another appointment with my spinal consultant, and unfortunately the news wasn’t what I’d hoped for. I’ve now been told I need major surgery for a bulging/blown disc which is also trapping a nerve and causing ongoing problems with my leg. This is alongside my upcoming shoulder replacement, so the road ahead is going to be a bit of a journey.
Because of all this, my new HandyMan Ian venture will need to be put on hold until sometime in 2026, once both surgeries are done and I’m properly on the mend. It’s not a decision I’ve taken lightly, but my health has to come first, and I want to make sure that when I return, I’m able to give everyone the same reliable, high-quality service you’ve always known me for.
To all my previous customers — thank you for the trust you placed in me over the years. To anyone new who’s been waiting to book me — thank you for your patience and interest; it genuinely means a lot. I’m determined to come back stronger, fully recovered, and ready to pick things up again once I’m through this chapter.
I’m really hoping the shoulder replacement will be the first step, and I’ll keep you all updated as things progress. Your support, kind words, and understanding truly mean the world to me. ❤️

*** Update ***
Just a latest update to my old and new customers I had hoped to be back on the tools again soon but after setbacks this year with my shoulder and back nothing now will happen until my next shoulder surgery I did post on my personal page I now need a complete reverse shoulder replacement this is basically the ball and socket go back in reverse also a recent MRI scan found I have another tear in my rotator cuff tendon so now awaiting a surgery date plus I’m see my spinal surgeon on the 25th to review my trapped nerve and bulging disc so at this moment I’m taking time out still until at least my shoulder is repaired sorry to some customers who contacted me during the summer I do hope to be able to get the tools out again in the future for small handyman jobs

Basically any small jobs would prefer customers to buy materials so these will be labour only private domestic jobs only. As I don't have any trade accounts anymore.
