We are pleased to share, Reivers Trails website has a brand-new set of pages that really helps tell the historical story of the Kielder Forest lands, well before the creation of Kielder Forest was thought of..

Alex MacLennan from Forestry England who is one of the Reivers Trails project team members adds, " these new wepages will really add a new dimension to visitors and locals who will now be able to unlock the story of the people and the places.

As part of celebrating 100 years of Kielder Forest, it has become clear more information is being asked as there is a real thirst for interest in the history as well as the evolution of the forest. We see this new set of web site based information as another important building block of telling the story of this incredible landscape"

Lakeside Way:

There is currently a closure on the Lakeside Way from the 1st June until 18th June.

Due to this closure there is no full loop around the Lakeside Way.

Lakeside Way Maintenance 🚧

Maintenance takes place regularly on our lakeside way with little to no disruption to the users but on the rare occasions due to complex tasks or access the need for some areas to be closed off is a necessity.

From Monday 1st June until Monday 15th June, work will take place on the Mounces Bridge (what3words hedgehog.explains.parrot). Kielder Waterside to Hawkhirst will be closed. The remainder of the lakeside way remains open.

There is no alternative diversion due to the location so the lakeside way loop will not be available over this time.

100 Years of Kielder- summer/ autumn dates for the diary..

Following on from the fantastic Northumberland County Show last Saturday, there are 3 more dates to be part of the 100 years celebrations.

29th August- Bellingham Country Show

5th/ 6th September- Kielder Castle Grounds-
Saturday 5th, forestry demo, in evening live music. 100 years of display.

Sunday 6th, Vintage & Classic Vehicle Show, Forestry Demo area, 100 years of Kielder display.
