Before and after — and this one’s a great example of how the details matter. 📸
The old SPC click floor had failed due to several factors related to improper installation from previous fitter. Cracks, chips and broken sections right across it — it actually crunched underfoot as you walked across the room. Not what you want underfoot in your own home.
So we lifted the lot and started from the subfloor up, finishing with a premium glue-down LVT for a solid, stable floor that’s built to last. We finished in J2 Glacier Oak — and just look at the difference in those tones. 😍
But here’s the bit we’re really pleased with: we sat down with the customer and talked through the direction of the herringbone lay and where they wanted it centred. It might sound like a small thing, but turning the pattern to run down the length of the room completely changes how the space feels — it draws the eye through and makes the whole room feel longer and more open. Same design, laid two different ways, gives you two totally different feelings.
That’s the value of getting the design right before you get the tools out. Chuffed with this one. 👌
