2025 over and out 🫡⚡️💡

This Christmas marks the end of our fourth year in business at MIE Electrical Services! It’s feels like yesterday I convinced the other half that this was a good idea 🤣

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us and the business this year.

Being a small, self-employed business definitely has its challenges, but I’m incredibly grateful for every customer—old and new—who’s trusted me and kept me busy throughout the year.

Special mention to the family , friends and of course the apprentice who’ve been there on the good and bad days 💙

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 🎄 🎅🏼 and a Happy New Year 🥳 . Thank you again for the support—it truly means more than you know.

📣 Holiday mode - bucket list trip! ☀️✈️

This time it’s a long one! We’re officially off on holiday for the next 3 weeks! We won’t have access to Facebook messages or emails while we’re away, so if you need anything urgent, please pop us a WhatsApp and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can but bear with us.

Don’t worry though — the real boss, our apprentice 🐶, is still on duty. He’s fully available for:
⚡ Walks
⚡ Ball-throwing supervision
⚡ Quality control on gravy bones

…but unfortunately he’s absolutely useless with electrics, so you’ll have to wait for Chris to get back for that bit! 😄

Thanks to all our amazing customers, our diary is now closed for 2025 as we’re fully booked 🙌🏻

We’re booked up with current jobs and have a wee holiday too so we won’t be accepting anymore jobs until the New Year 🗓️

💡 Another project complete! ⚡

A recent job I’ve just finished — wiring up a customer’s new summer house. Here’s what was involved:

✅ Main house upgrade: Installed a new sub board to safely supply the new summer house.

✅ Summer house supply: Installed a new 6mm SWA cable to feed power from the house to the summer house.

✅ Consumer unit installation: Fitted a new consumer unit inside the summer house to run the internal circuits.

✅ Internal wiring: All circuits wired neatly in 20mm conduit and copex for a clean, safe finish.

✅ Outdoor socket: Added an outdoor socket for extra convenience when using garden tools or lighting.

Really pleased with how it’s all come together — solid, tidy, and ready for plenty of evenings ahead! ☀️

🙌🏻 Another rewire project up and running in Fenwick📍

Delighted to upgrade the electrics for another customer in Ayrshire to ensure safety and efficiency for their home 🏡

This project involved:

⚡️full rewire of downstairs circuits
💡installation of 14 x internal spotlights downstairs
💡installation of 3 x outdoor soffit lights
⚡️renewal of main board

All ready for the plasterer to go in and do his part 👌🏼
