On the topic of Media Walls, this is one of our more recent Media Wall projects to date and was created for a client in Larbert.
Client scope was to provide the largest media wall that the space would allow, and they provided the first image as their preferred layout. The following images are pre, during, and post works. I believe we did a great job of hitting the spec and the desired layout/design.
This wall was similar size to the one created for my sister and brother-in-law, however this wall was created to accommodate up to 70” TV (in case the 65” installed wasn't big enough), including a large high-spec electric fire below and three shelves on either side of the TV.
The client opted for a shelf directly below the TV to accommodate the set top box, soundbar and Blu-ray player as opposed to a separate self below – this finish was very neat and tidy. The client also requested LED lighting to the right/left shelves, which were counter sunk into the shelves providing a flush shelf finish with upward illumination and look absolutely superb. The lighting is remote and Wi-fi controlled and can be programmed using a mobile App to provide any colour mix imaginable. It is also sound sensitive lighting and can change colour automatically along with music – really cool feature.
Plaster skim finish was provided by an excellent local tradesman from Kilsyth who provided a real quality smooth finish, and the painting works were undertaken by the clients own painting contractor.
The entire build, start to finish, took 3.5 to 4 days to complete and the client was delighted.
Always great to receive post completion images from clients relaxing with a beer and a movie – albeit the entire wall did not fit in the frame 😆😂🤣.
