Here's something we bet you didn't know - why were skips always yellow years ago?
Well back in the 1970s, as skips started to become popular, the government put legislations in place when hiring a skip.
One of these rules was that skips HAD to be yellow, because research showed this to be the most visible colour in the dark.
Since then, skips now have lights or reflective cones surrounding them so they can still be seen, regardless of their colour.
Who doesn't love a bit of general knowledge?
