The Velarde site on Fore Street, Kingsbridge is attracting attention and we’re making good progress to make sure Matt, Fi and Lorna’s vision for their new art gallery is realised. What an amazing start to the new year!!

Here on site we have been able to make significant changes to this projects appearance. We have removed the second floor boards and the joists to enable the er****on of the new structural steel frame!

The new floors are made up of easy joists and a working ply deck. Easy joists are a light weight hollow manufactured joist that are designed for the specific area they are required. How very exciting!!!

On the new build element of the scheme we have managed to install the acoustic beam and block first floor in accordance with the manufacturers design. The new beam and block acoustic floor has had rebated blocks installed and has had 50 mm of concrete over the top of the rebated block .

The block work walls on the first floor are underway, the fire stops and DPC courses are all installed where required.

On the lower section of the site we are making good progress with the studio.
