I have recently started my own plastering business after working for many years in the building trade. Although I am a relatively new Facebook business please don't let this deter you from shortlisting or contacting me for work. Please be assured I come with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have a passion for plastering and this carries though into my standard of work. I believe if a job i

s worth doing, it's worth doing right. This is what has driven me to start my own business. I started as an apprentice with a small family run firm where I worked for 20yrs. I was responsible for all the plastering works required, this was mainly in the commercial sector predominately public houses and hotel refurbishments. I also carried out maintenance work for my employers property portfolio. From here I moved into the insurance sector working for a large national company carrying out plaster repair works to private domestic properties on behalf of insurance companies. I then moved on to work for the local authority carrying out all plastering repair works in local authority owned housing.

Another bay window restoration under taken. Lower walls of the bay window the plaster was old and cracked and literally falling off after the customer removed the old skirting boards. So every thing was removed back to brick. The bay ceiling was also removed as this had delaminated its self from the old laths and was sagging down so new plasterboards fitted to the ceiling and lower walls. Above the window and below the ceiling line same again the old plaster was badly damaged and needed removing along the old wood lintel, again new plasterboard fitted and both sides made up with hardwall plaster. New angle beads fitted then everything freshly replastered, I think the results speak for themselves. Alls thats left to say is happy returning customers once again..

Finally another busy week for Neil's Plastering Service comes to an end.
Really enjoyed this job its always a good feeling to be doing work for returning customers. Being a nice friendly couple aswell is a bonus.
Well as you will see in the before and after photos plenty of plastering work required, various areas of plaster blown and loose all needed removing, were the walls were sound and firm to touch but with hairline cracking these walls had plasterer's reinforcing mesh applied to the walls prior to replastering. New angle beads fitted to the chimney breast also to all the reveal profile edges of the bay window including stop beads to the external splayed angle.

Well its been a busy time of late for Neil's Plastering Service.
I'm really happy to get my latest plastering project over the line to completion. The customer for this job literally had floor to ceiling Artex that she was requiring to be flat and smooth. The ceiling was very heavily Artex so much it was darkening the room and swallowing up all the light in the room. Every wall in the living room was also Artex. But using my tried and tested plastering methods the walls and ceilings were succumbed into being flat and silky smooth once again. Another happy customer delighted by the results. please see the following before and photos, if you require similar work please get intouch

Large Bedroom ceiling replastered. Customer had removed the stipple artex coating himself prior to calling me. I must stress this isn't advisable as all artex and textured coatings must always be checked for asbestos content and may need to be removed by specialist companies.
First of all two coats of stabilising solution were applied to the whole ceiling and left to dry. Followed by two coats of PVA then the whole ceiling replastered with two coats of mutli finish plaster you cant beat the two coat plastering system for the best results. A quick tidy up and another happy customer

Before and after photos of recent diningroom ceiling. Replastered over Artex customer wanted a nice smooth ceiling. First step apply bonding coat plaster to the whole ceiling to flatten out and cover the old Artex pattern, leave to dry overnight preferably and follow up with two further coats of finishing plaster. Meticulous attention has been taken to ensure the coving still has uniform thickness to the profile edge along rhe ceiling.
Customer was extremely happy with the results always leave my jobs clean and tidy

Before and after photos of a wall recently replaced. Due the original plaster being old loose and blown and de laminating from the wall. Couple of taps with the hammer and it literally fell of the wall. All the old plaster cleaned up and bagged up. The wall was washed down with a fungicidal wash. Left to dry followed by 2 coats of pva then new plasterboards were dot & dabbed to the wall then fully replastered another job turned out great again most importantly another happy customer
