Getting Hull Ready to Vote: A KWL Team Effort

When election season arrives in Hull, most people only see the final moment – stepping into a polling station, casting their vote, and heading back out again. But behind the scenes, there’s a huge amount of work that makes that experience feel simple and seamless.

This year, KWL was pleased to once again support Hull City Council, helping prepare polling stations across the city and ensuring everything was in place for residents to vote with ease.

The Stores Department is critical to the success of KWL as a business.

Operating similar to the likes of B&Q, but instead of the public, we are supplying KWL operatives with all the materials they need to carry out construction and maintenance works on a daily basis.

This can be anything from plasterboard to paint and taps to timber. As much as possible we aim to pre-prepare the orders, but throughout the day we have operatives calling in for other specific items, so we’re busy all of the time
