Falls from height remain the leading cause of death within the construction industry.

A sole-trading builder from London was given a suspended prison sentence last week after he put workers at risk due to unsafe scaffold.

The scaffold at the site was found to be unsafe and at risk of collapse by HSE inspectors.

David Beadle also failed to comply with the terms of a prohibition notice and as a result was ordered to complete 150 hours on unpaid work by magistrates in Bexley.
