Another great job completed by DB Structural Fabrications Ltd for the automotive industry.

These precision made spreader plates were produced with a high volume of countersunk holes and finished with a continuous 45° bevel around each plate.

BS EN 1090.. Why does it actually matter?

When it comes to structural steel, BS EN 1090 isn’t optional. It’s a legal requirement.

Any steel that forms part of a load bearing structure must be manufactured under BS EN 1090 certification and carry CE / UKCA marking.

Unfortunately, some fabricators still ignore it to save time or money.

The problem?
When the building inspector, structural engineer, or insurer asks for certification years later, that shortcut can bite you in the arse.

No traceability.
No compliance.
Big problems.

🦾New Project Award – 14 Midland Street 🏗️

We’re pleased to announce that we have been awarded a new structural steel project at 14 Midland Street, currently home to Ideal Driver & Rider Training

Our scope of works includes the fabrication and installation of a new structural steel box frame, along with the removal and replacement of three structural beams as part of the building upgrade.

The works will involve:
👨🏽‍🏭 Fabrication of a bespoke box frame assembly
🔧 Careful removal of the existing structural steel
🏗️ Installation of three replacement beams
✔️ Precision fitting including contract lifts to ensure structural integrity and compliance

This project highlights our continued commitment to delivering high quality structural steel fabrication and installation, working closely with our clients to provide safe, efficient solutions on site.

This job for involved over 31 metres of railing bars, all cut from one sheet. Doing it this way saves a serious amount of time further down the line, no marking out, no drilling holes, no punching squares and far less handling.

This is where good planning and accurate cutting really pays off.

At DB Structural Fabrications Ltd, we’re proud to showcase a slight diversification into the manufacture of heavy-duty stillages.

These stillages are purpose-built for logs to be inserted and then placed into containers, with strength and practicality at the forefront of the design.
