Five Years in the Making!

We’re incredibly proud to share that our apprentice, Harvey Carroll, has officially passed his level 3 plumbing apprenticeship with Hull College! 👏

What makes this achievement even more special is the journey behind it. Due to the impact of COVID, what would normally have been a shorter path became a five-year commitment. Through uncertainty, disruption, and changing circumstances, he never gave up and his positive attitude truly paid off.

Congratulations on a well-earned achievement Harvey — we’re excited to see what you accomplish here next! 🎉

We had a great half term last week welcoming Freddie and Harvey to our Hull College site for their work experience placement.
Both got stuck in, asked plenty of questions, and experienced what it’s really like working on a live site. It’s always encouraging to see young people showing genuine interest in the industry.
A big thank you to the team for supporting them during the week, and well done to Freddie and Harvey 👏

Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 👏

At Vic Coupland Ltd, we’re proud to mark National Apprenticeship Week by recognising the incredible contribution our apprentices make to our business and our industry.

We currently have 14 apprentices across the company, developing their skills in both and disciplines.

Our commitment to apprenticeships isn’t new — we’ve been taking on apprentices since 1937. Over the decades, we’ve had the privilege of helping so many talented individuals begin their journeys in Mechanical & Electrical engineering, with many going on to build long and successful careers within the industry, and many of them staying with us through to retirement!

Investing in apprentices isn’t just about developing skills — it’s about strengthening our industry for the future.

To all of our past and present apprentices: thank you for your hard work. We’re proud to be part of your journey.

We also managed to get some of our current apprentices to stand still long enough for some photos!

This Christmas, we’re proud to share the charities we’ve been able to support thanks to the generosity of our team and partners.

All donations were made by our staff at Vic Coupland Ltd, alongside a very generous contribution from Edmundson Electrical - Hull Branch, and together we were able to support three incredible organisations doing vital work in their communities:

✨ beYOU – providing personalised education and support to young people

✨ Emmaus Hull & East Riding Hull & East Riding – helping people who experience homelessness rebuild their lives

✨ The Freedom Centre Hull Freedom Centre – a non-profit charity supporting the local community

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donated and helped make a real difference this festive season. Supporting our community is something we truly value, and it’s inspiring to see what we can achieve together.
