Well that is it. We did it. The Welsh Three Peaks is done and dusted. An amazing effort by all that attended, from the cyclists, the climbers and the admin team and a dog. Hats off, you did a grand job. Kept smiling, riding, eating and sleeping. Slept rough "ish" for 4 nights, showered little, had a few gels here and there. A total of of 237.9 miles by bicycle with few mishaps, a few sand dunes thrown in for an extra challenge, some amazing navigation skills by google maps. A few hills climbed, 20 miles of up and down hill in some testing weather conditions. Thank the lord for hotel Cadair Idris. Memories made for life.

A big thanks must go out to RES Group for supporting this epic challenge.

Day 3 of the never ending Welsh Three Peaks Challenge in the bag. The day started with a quick bite to eat. The usual porridge and cranberries, a smashing brew and a quick pack up of the tents. For some this is their first time roughing it, to add to the challenge. I'm not 100% all those taking part have washed yet.
Once done we headed off to the start of Cadair Idris. The middle hill of 3 over 800m in hight, and one which would test the spirits of the team. A steady but rewarding 2.5 hours of climbing was met by some serious wind and CLAG, otherwise known as fog. Thankfully there is a mountain bothy at the top for shelter. Very much needed. The cafe had closed years ago. Once we rested we headed back down the other side of the mountain to meet up with the bikes ready for a coastal 75km bike ride into the Snowdon hills. A steady ride with a mammoth climb to finish to Pen y Pass and down to Llanberis. Hats off, there have been some amazing memories made, some serious personal achievements gained, including an emotional climb of a very cheeky mountain for the best support staff this side of Ull, Mr Pete. One last push to the top of Snowdon in the morning and a steady ride to Llandudno to follow. And that's it in a nut shell. Many thanks to RES Group for supporting this epic journey and a crazy idea now in full flow. Don't forget to chip in and support One Punch Hull who are our motivation for this slightly crazy thing. Best time

Day 2 "Completed it Mate". That's day 2 in the saddle completed. Over 102km of fantastic Welsh hills, sheep, amazing interesting people and some more hills. All legs are tired but we are well fed thanks to Pete and his dream team Izaak. Some land speed records broken by the MD, Simon the rocket Champion. Colin kept spirits high with his comedy throughout the day. Tag along Kieran enjoying the pain. All for a very decent cause. Please keep the donations coming only if you can afford a few pennies. We appreciate it and I know One Punch Hull do. We'll keep smiling as we wake up and walk Cadair Idris first light. For now the team are all wrapped up in bed. I've checked and read a few short stories to make sure they sleep well. Fewer Hills, Google lies.

55km into day 2. Spirits are high, energy levels low. Thank God he created Gels. Still a few hours to push on the push iron. Loving the Welsh hills, enjoying some amazing scenery. Wish you were here to swap with me.

Day 1 complete of the RES Group , Welsh Three Peaks. An epic day in the saddle and on the hills. 105km by pedal with over 1100m climbing in the fantastic Welsh country side and quick wet windy ascent of Pen Y Fan. Spirits are high in the team and we are Ready for day 2, bring it on. We love a challenge at RES Group.
