BSB are proud to have been involved with The Ferens Art Gallery over many years now. As a sponsor of the annual Hallett & Future Ferens Award we help support the young and emerging artists with an annual prize. We are always blown away by the talent on show and although the 2025 exhibition has only just ended we are pleased to say we are already committed to offering our sponsorship support again for 2026 !

Awards success for BSB Architecture!

After being selected as a regional winner in the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2025, BSB Architecture along with the Client Ongo UK and G S Kelsey Construction attended the LABC Grand Finals in London last Friday. Here we competed against other regional winners and we are delighted to share that we lifted the title as Grand Finals Winner in our category, Best Small Social Housing Development, for our scheme of 28 bungalows at East Common Lane, Scunthorpe.

This was a real team effort not only by those who attended the award dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, but by the whole supply chain of sub consultants, sub contractors and suppliers. The quality and excellence of this project is testimony to the hard work and effort by all involved.

BSB Architecture collaborated with the client, contractor, consultants, and statutory agencies to help deliver another successful housing project in North Lincolnshire.

The judges praised East Common Lane for its exemplary approach to social housing, describing it as,

“a development that sets a benchmark for small-scale social housing, combining thoughtful layout planning, strong stakeholder engagement and rigorous technical coordination.”

To say we are pleased is an understatement. The practice particularly congratulates their own team of Jonathan Mason, Paul Mumby and Shaun Todd for their efforts in securing this award.

It was announced this week that BSB Architecture’s scheme of 28 affordable homes for Ongo on East Common Lane in Scunthorpe has been selected as a regional winner in the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2025 in the category of Best Small Social Housing Scheme (30 homes or under).

This serves as recognition of a great effort by all involved, including North Lincolnshire Council Building Control, where mutual respect and a collaborative attitude were paramount in ensuring compliance and completion.

The scheme progresses to the LABC Grand Finals, held in London, in early 2026.

Congratulations to all involved, we have enjoyed working with you on this successful and transformative scheme.

Congratulations to our client Ongo and the team for getting this one onto site after several months in the design and planning phase. Once the home of AMP Rose (of Roses chocolates fame) the story of this site really is one of a ‘shop floor to front door’ regeneration project providing 64 high quality dwellings. The team are looking forward to the construction phase and working with GS Kelsey over the next 18 months. We are also pleased to be working alongside EN:Procure again on the appointment of BSB Architecture for architectural and principal designer services through their Framework.
Thanks to everyone who has been involved in the project - you’re all very much appreciated!
