TRS Plastering and Building Services could easily be described as one of the gradually diminishing 'old school' family plastering companies, and also in respect to over 30yrs experience in what it known in the plastering trade as 'wet plastering' (aggregate backing coat) as opposed to the more recently introduced 'dry lining' plasterboarding of today. It was fortunate in my particular case that I

did indeed work on the European plastering systems abroad in Germany during the 80's and in France over a decade ago, not to mention being taught by an 'old school' tradesman originally in the UK. My interior plastering covers both sand, cement and lime backing coats, as well as the outdated browning, along with a typical final finishing coat. Also the more modern and cheaper dry lining (plasterboard) plastering, that can either be bonded onto a masonary wall with adhesive, or simply screwed onto a timber frame work known as a 'stud wall'. Timber frameworks are ideal for the easy partitioning of an existing room etc, and of course are completed in typical finishing plaster. My vast experience in outdoor exterior render coats allows me to offer customers the choice of almost every type of render finish in existence, including: Sand and lime - Sand, cement and lime (smooth finish) - Chip-dash - Pebble-dash - Tyrolean (flicked finish) etc..

CUBICAL SIZE WC, DOOR OPENING REVERSAL -
This disabled OAP customer was having great difficulty closing the toilet door from the inside.
Since the door had a solid timber frame, the best cost effective solution was to reduce the door size, and convert the door casing to facilitate an outward opening door, that can be easily closed from the inside.

FIREPLACE FACELIFT.
New concrete floor section and floor levelling compound where the original hearth was.
Fireplace aperture bricked up, including ventilation brick.
Original coving preserved, and chimney breast plaster boarded and skimmed, including a re-plaster finishing of kitchen doorway area.

CONCRETE DISABILITY RAMP.
This one has been completely laid on a polythene membrane to stop moisture being transmitted into the brickwork, and has an anti-slip finish.
The house owner is fitting a tubular handrail kit himself, into the existing passageway concrete.
