4 clean vinyl flooring install completed ✔️

This bathroom floor has been fitted with a durable, water-resistant vinyl – perfect for everyday use and easy to keep clean.

Coving installed.

Another part of this full room conversion completed 👌
This larger bedroom had previously been divided into two separate rooms, which meant sections of the original coving were missing and needed reinstating to make everything flow naturally again.
✔ Existing coving carefully matched to the original profile
✔ New sections fitted around the newly formed partition wall
✔ Internal and external corners shaped and blended in
✔ Filled, finished and prepared ready for decorating
The aim with work like this is to make it look like it has always been there — seamless joins, smooth lines and matching detail throughout the room 🔨

Another transformation underway after a new window installation 🔨🪟
Once the new window was fitted, the surrounding brickwork and reveals were left exposed and uneven. My job was to rebuild and prepare everything ready for decorating.
✔ Bonding applied to build out damaged and uneven areas
✔ Window reveals straightened and squared off
✔ Gaps and exposed brickwork filled and stabilised
✔ Full plaster skim applied for a smooth finish
✔ Walls blended back in ready for painting and final finish
This stage is so important after window installs — it’s not just about making it look good, but creating strong, solid reveals and smooth walls that will last.
Big difference from exposed brick and foam to a clean fresh finish 👌

Not every job is a straightforward one… and this one definitely tested me on everything possible. You name it, this job had it. Every stage threw up a new challenge and barrier, but giving up or cutting corners has never been how I work.

I take real pride in doing things properly, not just making it “look alright” on the surface. It’s about fixing the issues the right way so the finish actually lasts.

So to receive a review like this honestly means the world to me. This is exactly what I stand for and what JD Property Maintenance is all about — quality, honesty, and pride in every job.

Thank you again for the kind words, it doesn’t go unnoticed 🙌

Update-
Full repaint completed on this property and what a transformation it’s been 🙌

This one came with a few challenges along the way… we were dealing with persistent stains bleeding through, blown areas of plaster, and heavy yellowing across the walls. Even after initial coats, the stains kept trying to come back through – so we had to take it back, treat it properly, and apply a high-quality stain block to seal everything in.

Once that was sorted, we prepped all blown sections, smoothed everything out, and built up multiple coats to get a clean, even finish throughout.

It took the extra time and effort, but the end result speaks for itself – fresh, bright, and completely revived 👌

All ready now for carpets to be fitted on Tuesday 🔥

🎨 Prep done right – Mist coat applied ✔️
Another job prepped properly and ready for the next stage.
Mist coat applied across these walls to seal the surface and create the perfect base for finishing coats. With surfaces like this, skipping the prep just isn’t an option if you want a long-lasting, quality finish.
Why it matters 👇
✅ Seals porous surfaces and old patches
✅ Helps paint bond properly
✅ Evens out the surface for better coverage
✅ Prevents patchiness and flashing
✅ Reduces the number of top coats needed
As you can see, the walls were a mix of old finishes and repairs, so a proper mist coat ensures everything dries consistent and ready for a clean, solid finish.
Doing it right from the start makes all the difference 👌
