TRAINEE OPPORTUNITY

Tiger Concrete Ltd are recruiting for a trainee plant operator/engineer/HGV driver to join our expanding business. We are a small and friendly family business based in Ratby/Kirby Muxloe who deliver and pump fresh concrete mixed on site, in and around Leicestershire to our valued customers - typically small builders, contractors and private individuals. We have 3 volumetric lorries and a concrete pump and we are looking to expand our business even further imminently.

The role is a great opportunity for the right candidate. You will be trained in all aspects of the business with a view to gaining your HGV licence in due course. Physically fit, and enjoy your graft, positive can-do attitude, honesty and reliability are all essential.
The key to the role is giving great customer service with a smile.

Full driving licence is required, some mechanical or construction knowledge would be beneficial, but experience with concrete is not essential as training will be given.

We are a small and friendly family business based in Ratby/Kirby Muxloe who deliver and pump fresh concrete mixed on site, in and around Leicestershire to our valued customers - typically small builders, contractors and private individuals. We have 3 volumetric lorries and a pump and we are looking to expand our business even further imminently.

The role is so much more than 'just a driver'.... you need to be capable of squeezing through tight gateways, while dodging a skip and a pile of bricks! Therefore, plenty of experience is a great advantage. It also involves some physical work, so you need to be reasonably fit, healthy and not afraid of hard graft. You will need to have a positive can-do attitude, be honest and reliable and the key to the role is giving great customer service with a smile.

HGV 2 and CPC are required, some mechanical or construction knowledge would be beneficial, but experience with concrete is not essential as training will be given. Competitive rate of pay.

Our volumetric mixers deliver the exact specification and quantity of concrete that you need, meaning there is no over or under ordering and therefore no waste.

We can also supply several mix designs from the same load. ​

The six wheel design of our smaller mixer allows us to access tight and tricky areas - perfect for DIY projects and small builders. ​

For larger projects we can now supply 30m³ plus of concrete at a time by using our 6 wheel and 8 wheel lorries.

Tiger Concrete Ltd are looking to recruit an office administrator/business P.A. for our expanding company. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our directors. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running and continued growth of the business.
Currently a part time role at 20 hours/week to start January 2026, with a degree of flexibility around working hours depending on your circumstances.
We are a small and friendly family business based in Ratby/Kirby Muxloe who deliver fresh concrete, in and around Leicestershire to our valued customers - typically small builders, contractors and private individuals.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and implementing office procedures to improve efficiency
• Diary management
• Managing correspondence, reports, maintain confidential records
• Update and manage social media sites
• Assist in updates and amendments to company website
• Have exceptional organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Knowledge of spreadsheets attention to detail in data entry tasks
• Prior experience as a PA or Office Manager would be beneficial
• Willingness to learn new systems and roles
• Must be trustworthy and confidential
• You will need to have a positive can-do attitude, be honest and reliable and hold a full driving licence.
We can offer 23 days annual leave (pro rata), option of flexitime, company pension and competitive rate of pay at £15 per hour.
