🌿 Garden tidy-up & mulching job completed for a new customer in Kirkby-in-Ashfield 🌱
A great transformation, bringing the borders back under control and giving the garden a fresh finish ready for the seasons ahead.
Step 1 – Border preparation
🌱 Cleared the borders of unwanted growth including w**ds, moss and grass
🌿 Thinned out and tidied overgrown plants, including the daylilies
✂️ Re-edged the lawn to give the borders a clean, defined finish
Step 2 – Mulching
🍂 Applied a 2-inch layer of compost mulch, using approximately 1,650 litres in total.
The mulch will help to:
✔ Suppress w**d growth
✔ Retain moisture in the soil
✔ Improve soil structure over time
✔ Add organic matter back into the borders
Step 3 – Lawn improvement
🌱 As a gesture of goodwill, we also overseeded the bare areas of lawn using a fescue-based grass seed mix, which is better suited to the shadier conditions in these areas.
A small extra touch to help improve the lawn and give the bare patches the best chance of establishing.
A simple job, but a big difference to the overall appearance of the garden. 🌿
