Wedding box made of solid sycamore. Keeping the signature lid with the live edge acting as a handle for opening. Engraved with the requested date and message. Finished with some brass hardware and a few layers of clear coat which really made the epoxy resin and figure on the box pop. 📦

Update now the shelves have been dressed. Nice to see how they are used.

Walk down memory lane….whilst digging out some of my old work found Arthur’s first present I made him. A wooden duck. Apparently to him “that’s not that cool, unless I can add some wheels” then he might play with it. Anyway solid teak and finished with danish oil.

Couple of my first Xmas eve boxes for my boys. Solid oak with brass dowels to up the aesthetics. Chains in side to hold the lid open. Finished with danish oil to darken the wood a bit. 6 years and counting for Arthur’s and still in great condition.

Solid maple shelves with live edge for a kitchen. Treated with some butcher block oil to preserve the light colour and then finished with wax. Heavy duty brackets in black to contrast the light colour of the wood. Some beautiful figuring on the wood which appears in the light. Already put to good use. Set at different heights to accommodate the needs of the storage.

Solid spalted elm shelves with an ogee profile to match in with the style on the fire place surround. Finished with teak oil to give a slightly darker/yellow colour to the wood to give it a more golden feel. Some gold tint epoxy for the voids. Then some antique brass Victorian style brackets to match the hardware in the room. Another set of shelves to be installed tomorrow, so keep an eye out and please share

Solid elm chopping board 45mm thick, heavy board with juice grooves and a new request to have the message engraved into the live edge. Brilliant new challenge getting my brain working. Finished in butcher block oil, and rubber feet. Any defects stabilised with food safe resin. 🎉
