A chimney re leading job completed in broughty ferry for a returning customer.
We took down a failing and rotten chimney for this customer last year and we returned this year to install new code 5 lead with expansion joint to the last chimney on the property.

Another roof ticked off this week, we errected our scaffolding last Friday, and got the roof stripped, and re roofed along with new fascia,
Soffit and lead work.

What a great transformation on this aged roof that was at the end of its life. If you have an older roof and are looking to replace please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

This was another project in Kirriemuir that we completed within the past month.
This property was purchased by a young family moving to Kirriemuir and had been given a 1 on the home report due to it being recently reroofed by a “roofing firm” unfortunately there was a lot of water ingress causing the family a lot of undue stress.

We were called to attend the leaks and had to break the news that their roof was unfit for purpose and installed incorrectly from the previous “roofers”

The lead had been butted off the chimneys and cemented up and it was clear to see the previous installers weren’t qualified quality tradesman.

We stripped back the full roof and replaced the slates with new 16x10 Spanish slates, black zinc ridging along with heavy duty clips, a sika single ply central valley and flat roof. All chimneys re leaded and welded to give the customer peace of mind under a watertight

What a transformation on this job in brechin, the old stone work had trees and a lot of greenery growing through with rotten timbers and rafters.

All the timber was re instated and the loose and knackered stone work removed and framed out to allow for new lead work to be installed and also for the wall to be coated out on wire mesh.

We have had a mega busy start to this year, the team have been working hard doing 7 day weeks pushing projects over the line.

This flat roof replacement along with fascia renewal and guttering renewal was carried out on Sunday.

A new 18mm OSB deck installed and a mechanically fixed sika single ply membrane installed.

Lovely little chimney re lead recently carried out.

The chimney was leaking into the property and as you can see had been leaking and rotten for several years. Rotten timber was ripped out and new timber all fixed securely back to the stone work.

We installed a welted lead over hand detail on the fascia side and a water gate slated back in on the opposite side.

Topped off with a little lead detail on the end.
