To break the long social media media silence 🤫

Some pictures from a recent job to remove a large storm damaged beech tree on a local estate. The tree had suffered extensive damage in recent storms and a large section failed. The rest of the tree presented with a large fracture from an included union in the the stem . With the remainder of the tree overhanging historic listed buildings around the estate walled garden it had to be taken down to remove risk of damage to the property. As usual the team handled the work with the utmost care and professionalism, the tree was rigged down and dismantled to a monolith stem. We love challenging jobs like this 😎

Recently I recorded this go pro footage up in the tree during the dismantle of a very large very mature beech tree . The difficult decision was made to fell the tree due to the presence of significant decay within the trunk from ground level and also due to the presence of pathogenic fungus at the base of the tree. The tree had multiple branches fail during recent storms and landed on a public path. The tree was located between two fences which as such we had to take the tree down using controlled rigging techniques to leave the fencing in tact.Great team work and support from the Kinnordy estate team and my colleagues Arun and Sean.😎

Amongst other jobs we have been doing some smaller tree removals and reduction pruning work this week

One of our jobs was to remove this eucalyptus tree although not very large, it had been previously pollarded to approx 20ft a number of years ago.

This created subsequent weak growth points and as such the various new leaders had begun to recently fail in high winds and almost caused damage to the clients property.

The tree was actually a relatively easy one to take down, however a lot of thought was required to create safe anchor points for me to climb and dismantle the tree due to the instabilty from the tall week re growth.

Upon climbing I identified a major crack and cavity in a weak included branch union which reinforced justification to remove this tree.

If you have trees which have been previously pollarded, I advise the condition of the crown is monitored for any weaknesses and to potentially expect future work to manage the trees.

We safely removed the tree to ground level, chipped and removed the arisings and were done just in time for lunch break 😎

This week, before the horrendous weather arrived my colleague Michael Barnard and I dismantled this large mature cuppressus tree.

Michael is a no nonsense work focussed professional arborist climber, it is always a pleasure to have his help on my jobs.

The clients driveway had minimal space to work in on the ground and as such we had to carry out controlled rigging techniques to smoothly and efficiently bring the tree down in sections to ground level.

We even managed to lower the large heavy sections of timber down directly from the tree into my trailer which was ideal 😎

I had been contacted by the client and kindly recommended by another local tree surgeon for him to get in contact with me as he had concerns about a large crack which had appeared in the stem which made the tree unstable and unsafe.

I specialise in the controlled removal of large trees.

I love my work and are always up for the challenge 😎

Who wants an easy life 😎

I just had a couple of the best days of work with help from my colleague Arun raadysh Haasis.

Arun is a real diamond.

Hes concientious, always works hard and aims for quality and efficiency in his work.

He is always positive, doesn’t complain if the work gets difficult or challenging…

eg (as pictured climbing and pruning diseased trees in the pouring rain )he just pushes harder and overcomes the challenges and we get the best results for our clients.

He always puts in 110%.

If only there was more People in the world with his attitude towards everything…..

Working with lads like Arun reminds me how lucky I am to be doing a job I love with kindred spirits.
Awsome.
