TRAINING AGREEMENT! 📝

We are extremely proud to have signed a Training Partnership Agreement with the The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)!

Here at we believe our staff are our most valuable assets and this partnership forms part of our commitment to support our staff with professional memberships and continuous personal development.

Through working with the and Paul Colder we are now able to offer bespoke training plans for our staff, along with access to the CIOB CPD Events! 👏

CONCRETE POUR ❄️☀️

The wintery sun was shining on site at Clive Booth Student Accommodation in Oxford.

Another concrete pour has taken place, this time on Block F!

Great Progress being made on this project, well done to all involved, such a Team Effort 👏

Day 11 of 🎄🎅🏼

WOIMA PARTNERSHIP, PREFERRED CIVILS PARTNER

We are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Sumitomo SHI FW and WOIMA Corporation as their ‘Preferred Civils Partner’ to jointly deliver modular Energy from Waste Plants in the UK.

We look forward to working together on these schemes and delivering sustainable solutions while minimising landfill waste!

Day 10 of 🎄🎅🏼

STAFF DEVELOPMENT & APPRENTICESHIPS

Here at McCoy Contractors we pride ourselves on supporting our staff to be the best versions of themselves and we invest heavily in training and personal development for each member of our Team, providing them with the necessary tools to completed their role to the best of their ability.

In addition to the above we have employed 3 Apprentices during 2022, who are currently studying a range of courses, from Level 2 Groundworks to BSc Quantity Surveying. We are proud to encourage and support them throughout the early stages of their career whilst studying towards the relevant qualification - we look forward to watching them excel!

SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP

Throughout 2022 we have made commitments as part of the business growth strategy to making a significant reduction in carbon emissions across the full extent of our construction operations.

Driven by our responsible roadmap to ‘Build a Sustainable Tomorrow’ in partnership with our clients and valued Supply Chain Partners, we are committed to developing initiatives that will have the resultant affect of cutting our carbon emissions well ahead of the UK Government Target of 2050.

AUTUMN WOLF RUN

What a brilliant day we had at the Autumn Wolf Run in Warwickshire, whilst raising over £4k for a local charity, ILEAP who provide creative and innovative opportunities for people with additional needs!

Throughout the year we have ensured that every member of staff has the opportunity to participate in a teambuilding activity, which is inline with their hobbies and interests, giving them the platform to speak to colleagues in a more relaxed environment.

Day 7 of 🎄🎅🏼

HARTSHILL SCHOOL, NUNEATON

We are currently delivering the groundworks package for the new net-zero carbon Hartshill Academy in Nuneaton.

The works include replacing the existing school building, providing space for 1,050 student. The new, state-of-the-art building will have improved fabric performance to increase energy efficiency, including air source heat pumps, solar panels on the building’s roof and ground level canopies alongside biodiverse green roofs.

MCCOY CONTRACTORS COUNTY HURDLE, CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE

For the second year running McCoy Contractors were delighted to sponsor the ‘McCoy Contractors County Hurdle’ and we had a great day sharing the Festival experience with a number of our valued Clients!

As a business we are proud to be associated with Cheltenham racecourse and The Festival in our continued support for racing, particularly on one of the most prestigious days in the sporting calendar.

Day 5 of 🎄🎅🏼

CAMPUS EXTENSION, THOMAS TELFORD UTC

We successfully delivered the 4,500m2 extension comprising a three-storey teaching building and a separate sports hall facility with a reconfigured and enhanced external social space and multi-use games area.

The works enabled the school to increase its intake by 450 additional pupils taking the total capacity to 1,050, while supporting at least 50 additional roles for teaching and support staff.

We were also extremely proud to receive ‘Sub-contractor of the Year for Innovation’ on this scheme!

Day 4 of 🎄🎅🏼

SANDWELL AQUATICS CENTRE

We are currently delivering Phase 3 of the new Sandwell Aquatics Centre which was built for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Phase 3 includes transforming the purpose built facility into a Community Leisure Centre, thoughtfully tailored to the needs of local residents. A gym, two four-court sports halls and a 600-person ‘changing village’.

A temporary warm-up pool, located behind the main building, has also been dismantled to make room for parking for 300 vehicles, while a football pitch and children’s play area have also been incorporated.
