Haven’t posted in a little while as we’ve been heads down tearing into this latest bathroom strip-out. As any proper refit goes, you’ve got to strip back the old layers—getting right down to the timber, sorting the subfloor, and clearing out the old wetroom former before we can build it back up the right way.
Can’t wait to share the transformation once it’s all tanked, plumbed, and tiled out. Watch this space! 🚿✨

Started a bathroom floor renovation today—the plan was to lift the old tiles and board correctly. Once the tiles were up, I discovered significant rot in the floorboards from being tiled straight onto wood. It’s not the news the client wanted, but it’s the right way to fix it. I’ll be back to replace the affected boards properly before moving on to the boarding and tiling. Doing it right, not just fast.

📐 Nothing transforms a kitchen quite like a classic herringbone splashback!

A lot of people think they need to completely rip out their kitchen cabinets to get a fresh look. But as you can see from this recent project, keeping the original white gloss units and adding a premium tiled splashback completely changes the entire room.

🔹 Swapped out the plain stainless steel splashback for a striking, full-length herringbone pattern.
🔹 Used classic white metro tiles with a contrasting dark grout to really make the pattern pop.
🔹 Meticulously lined up the angles around the sockets and under the extractor hood for a perfectly seamless finish.

Herringbone looks absolutely stunning, but it takes serious patience, precision layout planning, and a very steady hand to get those lines looking this sharp!
