Reflecting on 35 Years of Royale Timber 🌲🏡

Sometimes I like to take a step back and think about how far Royale Timber has come since I founded it back in 1990. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working for so many incredible people — from international and domestic footballers, a world champion snooker player, and a renowned author, to successful businesspeople and everyday folks from all walks of life. Every one of them has been a joy to work for.

Below are just a few of my favourite projects we’ve had the privilege to build over the years. From holiday homes and bespoke garden rooms to the simplest sheds — we’ve built them all with care, craftsmanship, and pride.

We were also one of the first companies in Scotland to build bespoke timber decking — something we started over 25 years ago, long before it became as popular as it is today.

35 years on, we must be doing something right! 💪

We’ve just completed a stunning high-level deck on the banks of the River Clyde — and what a transformation! 🙌

We removed the old decking, extended the space, and completely redesigned it to make a more functional and modern outdoor area. Thanks to the glass and stainless steel balustrade, the couple can now enjoy beautiful river views from every room.

To finish things off, we built some Venetian fencing to tidy up a few areas and keep that clean, contemporary look throughout.

I absolutely loved building this one — this kind of project sorts the men from the boys! When it comes to structures like this, it’s well worth using a company with years of experience to make sure it’s built to last. 💪

Just completed a stunning 7m x 5m garden room in Strathaven – and this was an absolute joy to build for such lovely owners!

The structure features sleek black composite cladding to the sides and back, while the front is finished in beautiful Western Red Cedar. It’s fitted with stylish black bi-fold doors and five full-height windows across the front, plus one on each side – creating a bright, open space with a modern look. A smart black composite step completes the front entrance.

The inside is still to be finished, but it’s already shaping up to look absolutely fantastic once complete – can’t wait to share a video walkthrough soon!
