Our current job is a driveway re-lay. The flags were only put down 3 years ago and the whole job is in complete ruin. The flags have been spot cemented in each corner on a weak mortar mix, on top of the existing Tarmac drive,which is wholly inadequate for supporting the weight of the car.
We lay all of our flags on a full bed of strong mortar, on fresh hardcore laid on a taram membrane.
If you are having any landscape work done always ask how your chosen firm is installing the products they are using, and make sure they are fit for purpose.

Fresh limestone chipping driveway, old driveway completely dug off, taram membrane and hardcore laid down first. New kerb edge installed, and limestone setts at the front to tie it all in.

Lancaster job now complete, with all lighting installed. The pictures below show the progression of the job from start to finish.
