Just finished a nice project in Morecambe. The job involved three parts. Back garden, front garden and driveway. Here are the garden areas completed. Driveway to follow.

Front garden was prone to flooding and was in desperate need of updating. We have installed new drainage to address the flooding, added Indian sandstone paths in grey/brown with bracken tegula brick edging. Finished with dark grey resin pointing.

Lawn areas re-turfed and edged in same bricks. Planting strip left either side of path.

Back garden was done in the same paving to replace tired tarmac to create a pleasant space for seating.

Driveway completed today in Heysham.

We carried out the usual sub-base preparation with full dig out, 40mm MOT type 1 base, brindle brick edging and path. Then infilled with concrete and the tarmac top coat.

Driveway just completed in Heysham.

Edged and divided up using golden tegula setts. Feature circle created using matching small setts. When we came to order the starter circle, the first 6 rings, it had unfortunately been discontinued 😧. Not to be defeated we cut all the pieces to replicate it out of 100mm x 100mm setts. Nearly 200 wedge shaped bits 😄.

Tarmac finish was laid over a concrete base to complete the fresh new look to complement recent work done to the house.

Latest job done in Halton.

Unfortunately quite a lot of new build properties have issues with drainage in the gardens. This one flooded every time it rained and took ages to dry out.
So we removed approximately 25 tons of soil. Installed land drainage system over the entire garden. Replaced and extended patio areas with kandla grey sandstone. Brought in 20 tons of fresh topsoil and re- turfed.
Added a raised sleeper bed for some planting.

Access was an issue as can be seen in the photos but found a solution to get machinery in 😀

Back garden revamp just completed in Bare.

Lots of different levels made it difficult to use as it should be.
We gave it a fresh new look with kandla grey Indian sandstone with charcoal tegula edging blocks. All pointed with gftk dark grey resin.
Raised bed using abbeystone bricks and filled with topsoil. Finished with Miami artificial grass.

A nice small garden revamp in Burton in Kendal finished this week.

Old paving and limestone walling removed.

New raised beds built with raj green walling stone with matching 40mm coping stones.

Small recessed patio using coffee porcelain.

Base prepared for summer house to be installed soon against the garage along with new garage door.

Finished with 35mm Miami artificial grass.

Now a nice low maintenance usable space.

A garden we finished earlier this year but I forgot to take the after photos 🙄. Just been back to install another fence so grabbed a few pics.

The old patio suffered from being constantly wet from rainwater draining from neighbours garden and natural spring water running through all the gardens.

So we removed the old fence and concrete slab retaining wall. Replaced with hollow block wall with reinforcing bars concreted into the hollows. The face was the clad in rustic slate with grey copings.
Perforated drainage pipe was installed behind the wall to redirect water away from garden. New fence installed along boundary.

Patio was then enlarged using kandla grey sandstone with dark grey resin pointing with step down to the lawn. A slate edge to the patio doubles as a draining strip for the spring water.

Garden revamp just completed in Lancaster.

Old rotten timber decking removed and replaced with composite deck boards in Teak Brown with Black border. All fixed to 150mm joists and fastened down with stainless clips.

Old sleeper retaining wall replaced with concrete blocks faced with mellow York abbeystone bricks finished with textured buff copings. New steps built using matching textured buff paving.

Job recently finished in Heysham. Raised beds built using Calder Brown Abbeystone bricks with charcoal Tegula blocks as copings.

Grey Brown Indian sandstone used for the paving finished with dark grey resin jointing compound.
A pre- made circle kit wasn’t available so created a circle feature using Tegula blocks.

Fence replaced to right hand side to match other side.
Just needs the soil to be levelled and a bit of patching to the lawn when the weather improves.

Front garden makeover to allow for easier maintenance.
Excavated to create a level area for raj green paved circle with Cotswold gravel.
Raised beds around perimeter built using abbey stone bricks finished with tegula blocks.
