Massive home renovation underway on a four bedroomed student let property in need of a major overhaul! Current students have now vacated and we have just 15 days to turn this property around in time for the next students taking up occupancy!! Everything must go!! 😅 So thats exactly what we did! Completely gutted the property of all flooring, so carpets, Lino, kitchen and bathroom. Beds, old furniture, appliances too and even bushes, as they were blocking out the light inside! Our client wanted it all gone! We had a huge amount of waste to get rid of, we needed it gone asap too so it was out of our way. So we found a fab company to help! Cornwall skip hire ltd They took everything away in a day, filled three truck loads. Highly recommended service! Quick, reliable, great price too and they were so helpful. Made it so easy for us and nothing was too much trouble. Now thats all out the way…we can crack on! Lots to do!

Recent utility install completed for a client by SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd Our client had not long moved in and really wanted this space to be a utility. They wanted to have access to a sink, all the plumbing, electrics needed to be installed and to also have room for a washer plus tumble dryer too. New units, plumbing, electrics, Belfast sink and wooden worktops were installed. Here is the process and the end result. What a beautiful little utility 😍 Our clients were so pleased with this and would like us back to more work…another fab job done 😊👍🏻

SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd were asked by a letting agency to fix some issues in a property that was about to go on the rental market. They needed some exposed wiring in a bathroom made safe, drill holes in tiles cosmetically fixed, a shower resealed and a wall fix around a newly installed bathroom vent. There was a shower which had a broken side to it which had left an unsightly hole in the tiles, exposed wiring and it had no isolator. All jobs completed, new shower fitted, isolator wired in and all cosmetic issues fixed…ready to rent! 😊👍🏻

Wine stain disaster for a customer meant new flooring was needed ASAP. SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd were asked to remove this carpet in a holiday let where a guest had spilt red wine. Cleaning it hadn’t worked and it had ruined the carpet. They wanted a wood effect, self adhesive vinyl plank fitted so this could not be repeated. We had to do this work between guests leaving and new arriving later that day. We cleared room, carpet too, fitted flooring and returned room back within the short changeover time we had. Got it done, our customer was very happy and all in time for their next holiday booking! Another fab job done 😊👍🏻

SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd were contacted to help out a DIY enthusiast who was renovating a bedroom. They needed a bit of help, not confident enough to do a couple of the jobs and of course we were happy to. They were struggling to install a new curtain pole into the wall as it kept falling out, they needed a new wooden windowsill fitted as it was rotten and some wood paneling put up. Our client was over the moon with the end results and said she was happy to find someone local to help out when needed. We even hung and styled the curtains for her and it finished off the room reno beautifully. Recent work completed by SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd. Our client made contact due to an ongoing internal damp issue that need identifying and sorting. It was causing their internal wall to deteriorate and damp to spread across their front bay. We identified the source and how the outside was getting in. We discovered it was due to lead flashing that had been poorly fitted above the windows outside. It was allowing rainwater in and then it was seeping through into the brickwork. Once we had fitted the flashing properly we then waited a few weeks taking weekly damp readings to check the internal wall was drying out. Once the readings improved we knew it was ok to start on the internal wall fix. We removed all deteriorated plaster, renewed where required, waited a few weeks to ensure readings continued to improve and to monitor that all new plaster work had dried completely. Finally we finished off with two coats of specialist damp paint. Its a process that took time but very much needed to ensure the problem was resolved. Another gorgeous holiday let that we’ve recently completed some maintenance jobs on. Our client got in touch as they had a real wood floor that was getting damaged and marked by dripping water from condensation in a conservatory. They ask if we could sand it to restore the wood and remove the unsightly water staining marks. They also had a fireplace which had rust damage from water leaking into the chimney. They’d had the chimney issue sorted so needed the cosmetic fix on the fire.

Firstly, we sanded this floor until all watermarks, damage and scuffs were removed and then added three coats of Danish oil to protect the wood. Absolutely beautiful transformation and lovely to see this tired wood come back to life.

We then sanded the rust staining on the fire until the surface was smooth and then used a specialist heat proof paint to restore back to its original state.

Our client was so pleased to see how beautiful their conservatory floor was looking again and that the unsightly fire was now looking like new. Another happy client and fab job done!

Recent job completed by SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd in this stunning holiday let. Our client wanted the flooring upgraded as the original wood floors were getting hard to keep clean, also getting damaged and it was sinking down in areas. Our client chose hard wearing vinyl planks with a textured warm oak effect. Perfect choice for the function of this property being a holiday let. Its durable, easy clean and looks stunning. We levelled out the areas which had sunk by adding a ply board base to strengthen the floor throughout the property and then laid the flooring so it ran seamlessly room to room. End result was gorgeous, it really lifted and brightened the property. Our client was very happy….thats another fab job done!

Another roofing job recently completed by SJS Electrical & Property Renovations Ltd. Our client is renovating a property and recently had a new roof fitted. They wanted to use the original ornate ridge tiles but were left with many broken after they had been removed. We were asked if we could help save them as reclaimed architectural ridge tiles are expensive and an exact match is hard to find. We managed to find all the broken pieces, we matched them up and reconstructed each one back together with some CT1. All tiles were saved and they could all be used along the ridge line. We fitted the ridge tiles back on the roof, repointed them too and you couldn’t even tell that those tiles were all once in pieces. Our client was so pleased we managed to save the tiles, we saved a bit of architectural history too and our client a lot of money. Another great job done 😊👍🏻
